Officials Urging Patrons To Get Vaccination

STONEHAM, Mass. — Stoneham health officials are investigating a confirmed case of hepatitis A.

It’s the third such incident in Massachusetts in recent weeks.
In the latest case, an employee of J.J. Grimsby’s Restaurant on the Stoneham-Melrose, Mass., border tested positive for the disease.

Stoneham health agent Robert Bracey said the employee last worked at the restaurant on June 19. Anyone who ate there is urged to attend one of three vaccination clinics scheduled over the next couple of days.
The first takes place Thursday afternoon from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Stoneham Town Hall. Another clinic will be held in Stoneham Friday morning from 9 a.m. to noon.
A clinic will also be held at Melrose Memorial Hall Friday morning from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Two unrelated hepatitis A cases were confirmed in recent weeks in Arlington, Mass., and Boston.
Stoneham and Melrose will host clinics Thursday and Friday for anyone who thinks they were exposed:
